Coopers ChainGang

Coopers ChainGang, affectionately known as "CCG" to its members, provides a relaxed and social cycling environment in Mansfield. Originating as the Mansfield Chain Gang, the club transitioned to its current name to avoid confusion with, and separation from, the Mansfield Road Club. The emphasis is on enjoying the ride and camaraderie, rather than intense competition.

The club organises regular group rides, focusing on road cycling. These rides offer a chance to improve fitness, explore the local area, and socialise with fellow cycling enthusiasts. The weekly chain gang departs from the Coopers pub on Leeming Lane, Mansfield, every Tuesday at 6:30pm, with Wednesdays as a possible alternative.

For the safety of all participants, the club has a few simple rules. Riders participate at their own risk and must use front and rear flashing lights. Junctions and traffic lights are not to be jumped, and rider etiquette must be followed at all times. The club requires parents or guardians to accompany riders under the age of 16.
