HFK (Hammersmith Fulham and Kensington) Road Cycling

For those seeking camaraderie and challenging rides outside the city, HFK Road Cycling offers a regular escape from London's urban sprawl. The club brings together like minded individuals from Hammersmith, Fulham and Kensington for social endurance rides. It's a chance to test personal limits while enjoying the company of fellow cycling enthusiasts.

The club organises twice monthly no drop rides, typically on the first and third Saturday of the month, weather permitting. These rides depart from Lyric Square in Hammersmith, venturing beyond the M25 in search of fresh air and open countryside. The aim is to cover approximately 100km during the colder months, with aspirations to increase the distance as endurance builds through the summer and autumn. Riders should be comfortable maintaining an average pace of 21 23kph over rolling terrain. Brief stops are incorporated for nature breaks and refreshments, with a coffee stop towards the end of the ride.

HFK Road Cycling emphasises self sufficiency. Riders are expected to ensure their bikes are in good working order before each ride and carry their own tools, spares and food. This minimises delays and ensures everyone can enjoy a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
